MAES Therapy

Here at Solihull Osteopathic Practice we provide Paediatric Physiotherapy and MAES Therapy.  MAES Therapy is a specalised treatment approach for babies and children with movement disorders, ranging from mild motor delay to cerebral palsy or other neuro-developmental disorders. MAES theraphy uses an evidence based approach for your child.

How can MAES Therapy help your baby or child?

We offer MAES therapy in Solihull with our physiotherapist Sam (Sumayyah) Mahmood who has undertaken specialist training in MAES therapy.  This is an approach based on your child’s specific needs.  We provide high quality and personalised treatment strategies to improve you child’s movement and coordination.

In MAES therapy we create activities to focus on the underdeveloped movement and co-ordination process.  We give the children the opportunity to develop the right specific skills they are missing so that they can perform tasks.

We find the underdeveloped movement processes that are weak and help them avoid bad habits in their movement.  This is not forcing your child but rather openning up opportunities for improved movement and co-ordination.
